So we all know the standard indian bridal colour is red, but here's a twist - brides who chose to wear a different colour on their weddings. So we start with blue bridal dresses. In this post we present beautiful blue lehengas, blue chainya cholis and blue bridal sarees. Light blue, sky blue, dark blue, royal blue doesn't matter. New Bridal Mehndi Henna design trends for weddings 2013

Mehndi designs or Henna are applied during weddings and any religious festivals or ceremonies among women in Asian countries of India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Middle East. Mehndi has been traditionally practiced in Indian subcontinent. It is applied during Hindu festivals like Karva Chauth, Vat Purnima, Diwali, Bhai Dooj , Teej and by Musilms on Eid-ul-Fitr and Eid-ul-Adha. Any wedding in Indian subcontinent is incomplete without Mehndi ceremony.
What is interesting is that henna is no longer applied just on the hands and feet.. brides these days are opting for henna tattoos on their backs, necks, arms, belly buttons, ankles, thighs (as garters)
So here is a crazy question for you:

If you are a bride, would you opt for a mehendi design, or mehendi tattoo any where else on your body other than on your hands and feet? :-)




















 

Aamby Valley India Bridal Week 2013

The  Amby valley india bridal week 2013 show launched with some stunning bridal sarees, bridal lehengas and bridal chaniya cholis being showcased by designers Rina Dhaka, Arjun kapoor, Neeta Lulla, Shane and Phalguni Peacock to name a few. Celebs like Kangna Ranaut and Sophie Choudhary looked stunning in bridal wear and were the showstoppers at the bridal fashion show. I loved the combinations of bright colors like orange and pink, but also subtle colors like teal and gold. What was very noticeable though was the bright orange pop lipstick on all the models! Indian traditional suits for Grooms, Wedding sherwanis for Grooms

So enough has been said about bridal wear, let's focus on the grooms for a little bit :)
Sherwanis have been the trend for grooms for a while now. But I also like the idea of having a semi-casual sherwani for events like the sangeet and cocktail parties.
