Kundan jewellery is in great demand this wedding season. With the gold prices soaring, Kundan jewellery is gaining popularity as it has less gold content and still gives a very heavy bridal look. Bridal chaniya choli, Bridal lehengas

Bridal chaniya cholis are a gorgeous traditional attire for a beautiful bride. Chaniya cholis are back in season with dark peacock blues, pink and purple shades. Chaniya cholis are very similar to lehengas and have a little more flair than lehengas. Chaniya cholis are perfect for Navrati, Sangeet, or Wedding because of their exquisite embroidery and style. Here are a few of my favourite bridal chaniya cholis or lehengas.

Anarkali Lehengas and Bridal Lehengas

Anarkali lehengas are the latest trend in bridal wear. Taking their roots from the Anarkali Salwar Kameez, Anarkali lehengas have the same long-flowing layered fabrics that look absolutely gorgeous. The elegance and opulance of the Anarkali lehengas is unparalleled. The fabric employed for these is usually a combination of net, silk or velvet (for the borders) that gives an exquisite look and a heavy decked up feel for the bridal or engagement ceremony. I wouldn't recommend the heavy ones for the sangeet ceremony though, although Anarkali suits can definitely be worn for sangeet. They are much more comfortable to move around in and even if you are not wearing a dupatta, the dress still looks very complete and beautiful. Here are some of my favourite Anarkali Lehengas. 

Indian Wedding Hall, Shaadi Mandap decorations

Most of the indian wedding mandaps inside the wedding halls are constructed using the four pillar structure decorated with flowers. A recent trend in the indian wedding mandap decoration is to use arches instead of the pillars. I think both arches and pillars look equally elegant and classy. The shaadi mandap should not look too crowded, and should be big enough to have seating for atleast 6 people including bride and groom's family. Lighting should be subtle and not over the top. Here are a few of my favourite wedding mandap decorations.
